About the Advertising Club of Edmonton

The Advertising Club of Edmonton is a non-profit association of more than 400 individual members from across the industry – graphic designers, media planners, photographers, printers, production houses, media executives and students. Formed in 1977 – making it one of Canada’s oldest advertising clubs – our goal is to foster an environment of fellowship and learning for Edmonton’s advertising community through networking and professional development programming, and to inspire our creative community in the pursuit of excellence through peer competition at the annual ACE Awards.
The ACE Awards – Advertising Creative Excellence
First held in 1979, the ACE Awards recognize the best advertising and design work created by in-market agencies, design houses, freelancers, clients, media and suppliers. Each year, hundreds of entries in more than 35 creative and craft categories are judged by an expert panel of industry leaders.

Awards are presented at an annual gala attended by more than 500 of the Edmonton advertising and marketing community’s most influential decision-makers and creative leaders. Here, all the work is exhibited, awards presented, combining for unparalleled opportunity to view the output and network with the industry’s best.

Following the awards, a keepsake annual is presented to all attendees, and winning agencies and individuals are announced in local, provincial and national media through a series of congratulatory advertorials.
